Burnish gold (Matt) differs from bright and semi matt gold in that it has to be burnished (polished) with sand after firing. The fired film is approximately 0.3 - 1 micron thick.

Burnish golds consist of finely divided gold and flux powders which may be mixed with bright gold components.  Burnish gold has to be mixed before use.

Surcotech offer a range of matt products, they can be provided in a pigmented form for application over dark backgrounds.

Burnish gold is offered with metal contents in the range 16 - 40%. Formulations contain tailored amounts of additives to give the desired fired film appearance and physical properties.

Burnish Platinum is offered with precious metal contents between 14 and 20%.
